The Club

Martial arts is more than a hobby — it can transform your life and even save it. Our club helps you grow through these key areas:

Traditional Eskrima

At Hybrid FMA you can study Eskrima in its entirety — from beginner drills to advanced applications. Training includes both practical techniques and artistic movements such as:

  • Sayaw / forms
  • Single & double stick
  • Knife defense
  • Espada y daga (long & short weapons)
  • Bangkaw (staff)
  • Latigo (bullwhip)

We follow the Doce Pares Multi-Style System, taught with structured curriculums, lesson plans, and testing for those who want an academic, step-by-step path.

Our lineage connects directly to the founding fathers of Doce Pares. This legacy is unique — twelve grandmasters worked together to refine and preserve the art, ensuring its techniques were tested, improved, and passed on. Their combined knowledge forms the foundation of what we continue to teach today.

Sport Stickfighting

Sport eskrima is often misunderstood. Some think it is far from real fighting, but it is actually the closest you can get to real confrontation in a controlled setting. Under armour, with adrenaline pumping and focus under pressure, you discover how you truly react in high stress situations.

At Hybrid FMA we train and compete in different formats of sport stickfighting. From full armour to limited armour events, across multiple organisations and rulesets.

The sport programme is now led by Master Diana Fauner, 16 time World Champion, bringing unmatched experience to the next generation of fighters. Our school also continues the legacy of Master Ermar Alexander, 8 time World Champion and International Champion, whose success helped establish our reputation in the sport.

Health and Fitness

You only get one body, and it has to last a lifetime. Self defense is not just about protecting yourself from an attacker, it is also about keeping your body strong and healthy. Regular training builds strength, energy and resilience so you can enjoy life and protect yourself when needed.

At Hybrid FMA we train safely. We do not encourage injuries or reckless behaviour in class, because martial arts should build you up, not break you down.
